- UPDATED 16 July 2020: This solicitation has been extended, (re-solicited) until 14 August 2020�in order to promote competition.� Quotes are due by 14 August 2020 at 4pm MST. Please submit any questions to TSgt Jason Burton at jason.burton.5@us.af.mil.� ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This job consists of� retrofitting heating and chilled water chemical feeders with bypass filter feeders in multiple buildings, in accordance with this Performance Work Statement (PWS) at Peterson AFB, CO. ��As our HVAC systems age, solids (dirt, metals, etc.) in the systems build up over time and filtering out solids will protect equipment in system.� The replacement cartridges can be added to our supply stock and chemical feeder will be included in our HVAC maintenance schedule.� Tasks: - Isolate flow on existing chemical feeder.� Demo and dispose of existing chemical pot feeders at each location.� Typical connection is downstream from the expansion tank in system.� - Provide and install feeder filtration unit at each location.� Unit shall be Neptune VTFC-2 model or approved equal.� Unit features include �� inlet and outlet, filter built in support for cartridge filter, maximum pressure 200 psi, maximum temperature 200 deg F, fill opening 3-1/2� and 2 gallon capacity.� Connect to existing heating/chilled water supply and return lines.� � - Provide all modification to existing piping to make connections for new system functionality including supply inlet and outlet along with piping to drain.�� - Filters shall be the same size for standardization across the projects.�� Provide initial high temperature, 20 micron cartridge filter for each system, and a case of 10 for bench stock.� - Reinsulate reworked piping.
