F-35 Alter Hangar 406 Category: Y-Construction of Structures and Facilities NAICS Code: 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Contract: 115th Fighter Wing, 3110 Mitchell Street, Madison, WI 53704, POC: SMSgt Katherine Pinnow Synopsis: F-35 ALTER HANGAR 406 The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential sources for this project including interested Small Business sources.� This notice is for planning purposes only.� No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice or any follow up information requests. All interested parties should respond.� The 115th Fighter Wing intends to issue a solicitation and award of a contract to alter the F-35 Hangar 406. The magnitude of this project is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000.� All interested concerns will provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive intent to submit a proposal as a prime contractor no later than 01 August 2020.� This notification, which shall not exceed five typewritten pages, must include (1) positive statement of intent to bid as a prime contractor, and (2) a completed and signed Source Sought Information Request Form and (3) a listing of projects completed during the past six years, both for government and private industry.� The type of project, dollar value, contract number, location, and point of contact are to be included.� Indicate if you were prime or subcontractor, and if subcontractor, provide the name and point of contact for the prime contractor.� (4) a brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel that would be used to accomplish the contract. In the event adequate Small Business contractors are not available for adequate competition for this project, it may be advertised as unrestricted.� Information shall be provided via email to: katherine.pinnow@us.af.mil.� Include the following in the subject line-Sources Sought W50S9F-20-B-0001.� No facsimile responses will be honored. PROGRAM DETAILS: The 115th Fighter Wing at Dane County Regional Airport -Truax Field, Madison, WI is conducting market research seeking capable sources for services, non-personal, to provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances and supervision necessary to alter F-35 Hangar 406. This project seeks to demolish 19,913 SF of hangar shop space and reconfigure this area for F-35 aircraft maintenance operations.� These shop spaces will consist of lavatories, office space, break rooms, mechanical spaces and repair shops for �Wheel and Tire�, �Welding�, �Egress� and �Structural�.� Additionally, 19,803 SF of hangar space will be modified to accommodate F-35 aircraft.� This will include High Expansion Foam (HEF) fire suppression system modifications, aircraft make-up power and air systems, and lightning protection. � Typical work includes, but is not be limited to: mechanical systems, plumbing, waste water, electrical and technology systems. �Strict adherence to construction plans and specifications is absolutely necessary to ensure compliance with the F-35 Facilities Requirements Document.� Any deviations in addition to the Government approving must independently be approved by Air Combat Command and Lockheed Martin.� Asbestos removal in small amounts may also be required.� Typical Communications cables work includes, but is not to be limited to all cabling for the entire project.� Typical Security Hardware work includes, but is not be limited to the balanced magnetic switches, cameras, motion sensors, etc needed to secure the facility.� All work will be in accordance with design requirements, specifications and drawings provided within the master specifications. This solicitation will result in a single construction contract for both demolition and new construction.
