Description
This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items is prepared in accordance with the format at FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.� The solicitation number W913E520Q0025 is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation is 100% small business set-aside. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333414 � Heating Equipment (except Warm Air Furnaces) The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) has a requirement for delivery and installation of a 6-ton geothermal heating system with an 8-ton horizontal ground loop at the US Army Corps of Engineers, Cold Region Research Engineering and Laboratory Permafrost Tunnel Research Facility located at 2126-2166 Steese Hwy, Fairbanks, AK 99712. The geothermal heating system must be able to heat the existing structures (Visitor Center log cabin, job shack, and the temporary modular structure) and a possible new structure as well as help alleviate the permafrost thawing at the two permafrost tunnel portals. All the labor and material shall be provided by the contractor. Detailed requirements of completed system: - 6-ton hydronic heat pump. - 8-ton horizontal ground loop with reverse return header. - Separation of ground loop into three areas to stabilize 2 permafrost tunnel entrances, as well as a third deeper field ground loop section. - Three independent ground loop pumps. - Isolated ground loop supply and return lines all the way to the heat pump for the three loop field areas - Isolated temperature gauges for each of the three ground loop areas. - Methanol antifreeze for ground loop - Heat pump control with outdoor reset. - Buried heat distribution lines to the Visitor Center log cabin. - Buried heat distribution lines to existing temporary modular structure. - Buried heat distribution lines to three new modular units. - Propylene glycol for heat distribution system. - 3� of sprayed polyurethane foam insulation on all buried PEX heat distribution lines. - Building pipe penetrations. - Multi-aqua fan coils installed in 5 separate structures. - Heat distribution circulation pump - 5 thermostats. - Buried low voltage conduits to 5 buildings. - All low voltage wiring for system components. - All high voltage wiring for all system components. - All mechanical work. - All excavation and backfill. - System commissioning and testing. � Please reference the attached RFQ for applicable provisions and clauses.� The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: ability to meet the required performance specifications and price.� Award will be made to the offeror whose quote represents the lowest price technically acceptable.
