Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Jamie Whitten Delta States Research Center (JWDSRC) in Stoneville, MS., has a requirement to Renovate Building #7 Greenhouse #2.� ��The work to be done consists of furnishing all necessary labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with the specifications.� The intent is to demolish the greenhouse down to its structural framing, knee wall, and foundation and provide new polycarbonate glazing, side wall and ridge ventilation, heating, cooling, and lighting/power/control systems as indicated on the drawings.� USDA ARS SEA intends to issue a Request for Proposals for a firm fixed priced construction contract.� The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside.� The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220 with a size standard of$39.5M.� Contractors shall not directly contact the�facility to discuss this requirement.� During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government anticipates issuing an RFP for this requirement in July 2020.� This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for these services.
