Description
STATEMENT OF NEED The Wilmington VA Medical Center is in need of one (1) unit for one (1) new site activation physical therapy clinics which can deliver either continuous cold, continuous heat, a rapid contrast, or just active and intermittent pneumatic compression therapy treatment to encourage blood flow and stimulate tissue repair. The units must be rated for commercial use to withstand heavy use be within hospital specification standards. These will be delivered to new site activation one for the Cape May CBOC The equipment must be/have: 1. Allow for temperature setting in either deg. F. or Deg.C. 2. 4 Therapy treatment options (seea d) 3. Deliver pneumatic compression that can be varied to fit the patient s tolerance ability from none to high as well as variability in temperature settings as noted below: a. Heat up to 113 deg F/45 degC b. Cold down to 38 deg F/3 degC c. Rapid Contrast between Heat and Cold with less than 1 min. change over d. Active intermittent pneumatic compression of 4 levels from 5 75 mmHG 4. Must include the following features: a. Touchscreen interface controls to allow for control, adjustment, and monitoring treatment times, temperature ranges, and compression settings. b. Flexible treatment options to allow for two patients to be treated at the same time. c. Have a display which shows sleep time and run time and icon codes. d. Have a display which shows actual vs target temperature. e. Come with a variety of sleeves/wraps that are easily cleaned between each patient use and: i. Can be fit around an ankle, knee, elbow, hand/wrist, lumbar, shoulder, and hip regions ii. Comprised of an inner Heat Exchanger and outer sleeve. 5. Delivery needs to be made to satellite location Cape May Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) 3801 US 9 Rio Grande, NJ 08242 6. Include White Glove Installation INCLUDES Delivery to Room 110 within the facility and ASSEMBLY AND EQUIPMENT UNPACKAGING with removal of all debris 7. Delivery with a Truck with Lift Gate as no loading dock at facility 8. Include a standard 2 yearwarranty
