� � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE This is NOT a request for proposal or invitation for bid.� Naval Facilities Command Engineering (NAVFAC), Public Works Department (PWD) Newport, located at Newport, Rhode Island, announces a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) construction contract for Solicitation Number N4008520B3339, Install Generator, at Building 1377, Naval Station Newport, Newport, Rhode Island The contractor should provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and qualified supervision as provided in the Statement of Work, Drawings, and Specifications.� The contractor shall provide a minimum rated 22 kW natural gas generator, automatic transfer switch and meter main for building 1377 & all associated wire, conduit, terminations as needed for a complete & usable facility.� Contractor shall retain the local gas utility (Nation Grid) for the installation and connection of the gas service to the new generator.� Building remains occupied during work performance. Project Information: Solicitation Number:� N4008520R3339 Title:� Install Generator Location:� Naval Station Newport, Newport, RI, 02841 The Government will issue the solicitation as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) as a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. Contract award based on FAR Part 14 � Sealed Bidding.� The project consists of a Base Bid only.� Price is the only evaluation factor.� The Government shall award the Base Bid to the responsive and responsible bidder with the lowest price acceptable to the Government. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 30 July 2020.� The offeror is responsible to monitor and download any amendments for the solicitation from the Contract Opportunities (https://beta.sam.gov) website. Description of Work: SBA Size Standard: $16.5 Million Construction Magnitude: Between $25,000 and $100,000 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code: 238210 � Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors Product Service Code (PSC):� Z2AA � Repair or Alteration of Office Buildings Project Completion:� 240 calendar days from Date of Award Because of the COVID-19 outbreak, an organized site visit may or may not be scheduled.� Specific date and time will be made available at time of solicitation issuance. Only one site visit will be scheduled and interested offerors who attend must practice social distancing when possible and where a face covering when unable to practice social distancing.� Submit in writing all questions regarding the solicitation to the Point of Contact (POC):� Angella Sterling at angella.sterling@navy.mil.� No telephone calls accepted.
