- Solicitation #: FA8118-20-Q-0012 Procurement Type: Pre-solicitation Synopsis Date Posted: JULY 13, 2020 Title: SPARES ACQUISITION Piston, Linear Actuating Cylinder for B-52 Aircraft Classification Code: 48 -- Valves Title: Description: The United States Air Force through Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC), Tinker AFB 73145 is contemplating to procure A SPARE PARTS ACQUISITION Piston, Linear Actuating Cylinder, NSN: 1650-00-442-8091HS, P/N 30026 The requirements set forth in this notice are defined per Purchase Request FD20302001772. The current required quantity is listed below. Therefore, contractor shall provide proposed prices to the following ranges. BASE YEAR: 3 EA. QTY. YEAR 1: 3 EA. QTY. YEAR 2: 6 EA. QTY. TOTAL QTY 12 EA. , WITH POSSIBLE (12 QTY X 150% = 18 QTY) If the quantity ranges provided in this solicitation do not provide the best pricing option then the contractor shall submit quantity ranges that yield the best prices to the Government based on the Min quantity of 3 EA and Max quantity of 18 EA. See clause 52.207-4. The quantity of this solicitation will be re-evaluated upon receipt of the contractor's proposal. AMC/AMSC: 3/P, (EXP DT: 19 AUG 2021) History: Procured in 2004, 2005, 2007 NAICS: 336413 Delivery: on or before 30 SEP 2020, EARLY DELIVERY IS ACCEPTABLE Destination: SW3211 Set-Aside: N/A Qualification Requirements: N/A Qualified Sources: MOOG, INC. (CAGE 19156) The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, MOOG, INC. (CAGE 19156), under authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). IAW FAR 5.207(c)(15)(ii), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Based upon market research, the Government is not using policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested parties may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
