Description

(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation 12-5680-20-Q-0003�is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-04, effective 6 May 2020. (iv) The associated NAICS code is 541715� -�R&D in Physical, Engineering & Life Sciences. (v) �Delivery shall be FOB Destination.Delivery shall be to the location listed below. (viii) FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (Jan 2017) is hereby incorporated by reference, with the same force and effect as if it were given in full text. (ix) FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-- Commercial Items (Oct 2014) is hereby incorporated by full text: a. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: I. Price; II. Technical capability of the solution in accordance with� the specifications listed here: Nominal one liter chamber size. Wear resistant (e.g., stellite) tipped rotor blades. Pneumatically operated top (feed) and bottom (discharge) doors Minimum rotor speed of 3,000 RPMs. Infinitely variable speed drive. Nominal maximum blade tip speeds of up to 30-50 m/s. Automated discharge by either temperature (as measured by IR sensor) or motor load/current draw. Ammeter and temperature readout. Flux times less than one minute. Safety guards according to OSHA standards.
