- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 15 is conducting market research to help determine the availability and technical capabilities of qualified vendors who can provide a Pass Thru Dryer processing a variety of medical devices and equipment with high-capacity forced-air chambers. Statement of Work for Pass Thru Dryer General Description of Performance Requirements and Features of the System: Capable of efficiently processing a variety of medical devices and equipment with high-capacity forced-air chambers. Used to quickly dry instruments and accessories particularly those destined for moisture-sensitive low temperature sterilization applications. Large interior volume for drying surgical trays, containers, and combination of tubes and miscellaneous parts. HEPA filter air to eliminate the threat or airborne pathogens recontamination of the warm, wet, parts while they are being dried. Requirements: Programmable User interface: allowing for either continuous drying or specifically timed cycles. User interface equipment Stainless steel half shelves bearing up to 40 pounds and can hold either 18 half width or 9 full width shelves. HEPA Filter System. Tube drying rack that holds 84 tubes. Stainless steel tray for small parts. 180° door swing for maximum access. Transparent acrylic door panels. Front and rear door in pass thru model. Microprocessor controls for cycle timing and temperature processes; visual signal when cycle is complete Continuous or timed drying from 0 minutes to 99 hours Integrated filter-change alarm. 36 Wide x 26.5 Depth x 85 Height, Volume 29 ft3 (0,8 m3) (Interior) Retrofitted for future option of lumen drying.
