- Description
- DESCRIPTION: The National Institutes of Health - NICHD intends to procure the services of a contractor to provide ZetaView QUATT 4-Source NTA System, with 405/488/520/640 nm sources. Identify markers at the surface of extracellular vesicles using Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis. ZetaView is equipped of 4 lasers and therefore allows tracking of 4 different markers associated to different colors. Extracellular vesicles are important messenger of cell-to-cell connections. Identifying cellular marker or viral marker is essential to understand in cellular communication in norm and pathologies. ZetaView from Particle Metrix allows deep analysis of extracellular vesicle markers. 1)The sampling statistics of tracking nanoscale volumes of the ZetaView from Particle Metrix are greatly improved, relative to the fixed-position-sampling of competitors. The ZetaView is a Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) instrument for measuring hydrodynamic particle size, zeta potential and concentration 2) - ZetaView sample cell is easy to clean and is chemically robust and is large enough to work well with the integrated multi-point sampling. Smaller sample cells from other companies dont promote these capabilities, whereby, sample volumes would necessarily overlap. ZetaView QUATT 4-Source NTA System, with 405/488/520/640 nm sources. * Automated Particle Tracking Analyzer with 90 Multi-Source Scattering Video Microscope for the determination of particle size distribution, particle concentration, zeta potential distribution, particle mobility and fluorescence detection mode. Full system: ZetaView instrument with 24 Volt DC supply, equipped with Cell cassette and sample cell, 10x microscope objective, CMOS camera, Instrument Controller with software installed, ready for operation. Automated fast scanning multi-point sampling. * ZetaView QUATT: 4-Source instrument, includes: - Slide-in Cell Assembly ""Z-NTA"" # 110-0013. - Sample cell unit #110-0003- 405 nm: 120 mW; 488 nm: 45 mW - 520 nm: 35 mW; 640 nm: 130 mW - Automated 5-Position Filter Wheel with 4 Long Wave Pass (LWP) emission filters, cut-off @ 430 nm & 500 nm 550 nm & 680 nm * Installation and Training While other vendors may have a similar item, only the instrument from Particle Metrix can meet the Labs needs as it has a quadruple Laser for enhanced fluorescence measurement capability Particle Metrix is the Sole Company from which National Institute of Health can purchase the services listed above. This proposed procurement is for a service for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis to Particle Metrix Inc located in Mebane, NC 27302. In order to comply with the requirements in this Special Notice, the responses should be based on our interpretation of the general requirements provided below. Note 22. The proposed contract action is for a continuation of previous services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all quotes received within the time and date of publication of this ""Special Notice "" will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. HOW TO RESPOND: In order to compete for this project, interested parties must be registered in the Central Contracting Registration and submit a price quotation by 2:00 pm, ET, July 22th 2020. Offerors may either submit one copy of the quote to MOE FILALI by mail or preferably via email. Electronic transmissions to Moe.Filali@nih.gov are preferable but must be timely. It is the responsibility of the Offeror to ensure the proposal is received by the date and time shown above.
