DATE REQUIRED MTU NR2 MPDE Water Intrusion Inspection POP 07/08/2020 � PLACE OF PEFORMANCE SAN DIEGO, CA � The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Centers, National Security Cutters Branch 2, Oakland, CA anticipates awarding this procurement to MTU AMERICA for the parts listed below: Part/Services List: Inspect and find cause of seawater intrusion and determine next course of action. This repair service is designed to conform to, and mate with, the other existing components of the MTU 20V1163 Diesel Engines. (MTU America OEM) Main Propulsion Diesel Engines are used on 418� WMSL class cutters. Only the OEM possesses the proprietary drawings, procedures, and other technical data to supply this equipment. Proper operation of the No. 2 Man Propulsion Diesel Engine is essential for safely conducting the cutter's mission of Search and Rescue and Law Enforcement. Without the manufacturer's design data and procedures, the Government cannot be assured that alternate supplies can be operated safely with this crane. This procurement will be made on behalf of the USCGC BERTHOLF SAN DIEGO, CA. �Vendor will provide the part/supply stated in the solicitation description. �NAICS Code # 336611 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however all responses received on/before 1100 Pacific Time, Jul 8th, 2020 will be reviewed by the Government. ��A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. �Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All questions concerning this notice must be submitted in writing the Contracting Officer, email address is: barbara.falero@uscg.mil. The solicitation is restricted to: MTU AMERICA Offers from concerns other than the above are not solicited. If no affirmative responses are received by the date specified above to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, a purchase order will be negotiated and awarded to MTU AMERICA
