Description: This acquisition of 5,000 Train Regulators will serve the National Weather Service (NWS) Upper Air program to replenish spares in the National Logistics Support Center (NLSC). The Train Regulator is a simple de-reeler that limits the amount of twine that extends from an ascending balloon to the radiosonde. Train Regulators are required for routine upper air soundings when surface winds are 25-mph and stronger.
