- This is a Special Notice to communicate the Department of Veterans Affairs, Robley Rex VA Medical Center s Intent to Award a sole source contract to AAECON General Contracting, LLC. The Robley Rex VA Medical Center located at 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40206 has an emergency requirement to replace the roof on building #6 in accordance with the statement of work, project specifications and drawings. The estimated square foot of the roofing system to be replace is 5,500.00 sq. ft. The facility condition assessment (FCA) of the roofing system on building #6 is deteriorated, and has resulted in multiple leaks, that have the potential to cause harm or injury to the government. This emergency condition is unusual and compelling, as the roofing system deterioration accelerated quicker than the planned construction which was scheduled for Fiscal Year 2021, resulting in the existing emergency.
