Description
Replace Failing Water Well at Stovepipe Wells for Death Valley National Park (DEVA). The purpose of this synopsis is to provide a notice to the public of information applicable to the U.S. National Park Service (NPS) Office of its requirement for the Replacement of a Failing Water Well at Stove Pipe Wells. Authority: NPS is issuing this synopsis in accordance with FAR Part 5.204 Pre-Solicitation Notice. Description: NPS requires services from a contractor with the experience and technical capability to provide well drilling and construction services to install a new water well adjacent to a failing water well that will be decommissioned and then tie the new water well into the existing system. Also, two abandoned wells in the vicinity of Stovepipe Wells will be decommissioned to ensure the groundwater is not contaminated from these abandoned wells. And additionally, two new pumps will be installed in water wells providing water to the Furnace Creek area of Death Valley National Park. The existing pumps in the wells at Furnace Creek are at the end of their design service life and must now be replaced to avert having a pump failure. Further details on the project will be provided when the solicitation is issued. Place of Performance: Stovepipe Wells and Furnace Creek, Death Valley National Park, Inyo County, CA. Competitive Acquisition: It is anticipated that this will be a competitive acquisition set-aside for small business participation. Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price Construction Contract. Period of Performance: The anticipated period of performance is (120) one hundred and twenty days from the notice to proceed (NTP) date. Release of the Solicitation: It is anticipated that the release of Solicitation No. 140P8120R0012 is anticipated to be released around 07/17/2020. Should there be any issues arising for this solicitation, the Contracting Officer will provide an update via https://www.beta.sam.gov and https://www.fedconnect.net.
