- Date Solicitation� Documents Available (Approx.) 29 JULY 2020 THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS UTILIZING FAR PART 15 SOURCE SELECTION PROCEDURES THE NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS) CODE FOR THIS PROJECT IS 236220. ESTIMATED COST RANGE OF PROJECT Between $25M and $100M This project includes construction of The Complex for Agile Processing of Energetics, Advanced Processing (CAPE) as part of the Advanced Munitions Technology Complex at the High Explosives Research and Development (HERD) sector at Eglin AFB. The CAPE Facilities are made up of six Bunkers, the sf of the facilities is two (2) bunkers at 484 sf each and four (4) bunkers at 495 sf each. The facility is 2,948 sf. The (CAPE) Facilities will also construct The CAPE Explosive Machining Facility containing the three explosive machining bunkers and the staging building for the equipment in the energetics processing and machining bunkers. All equipment in the bunkers is operated remotely from the control room in the staging building. The facility is 4,035 sf. The Advanced Dynamics Chamber (ADC-50) Facility is part of the Advanced Munitions Technology Complex at the High Explosives Research and Development (HERD) sector at Eglin AFB.� The ADC-50 is a hardened research laboratory that is subject to deliberate and repetitive explosion testing for net explosive weights (N.E.W) up to 50lb. The building is one story with a high bay over the blast chamber and observation room.�� The facility is 10,247 sf. The Advanced Energetics Research Laboratory (AERL) Facility is part of the Advanced Munitions Technology Complex at the High Explosives Research and Development (HERD) sector at Eglin AFB.� The building is one story with a high bay over the laboratories and building support spaces.�� The facility is 11,137 sf. The Explosive Storage Facility shall accommodated hazard class 1.1D storage of 40,000 lbs. N.E.W. Design is similar to Igloo Munitions Storage module that is a� DOD Explosives Safety Board� approved facility.
