Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground � Natick Contracting Division on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities and Development Command (CCDC), Soldier Protection and Survivability Directorate (SPSD) intends to procure on a sole source basis under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements � Preventative Maintenance for the ICP-MS instrument previously purchased from Thermo Electron. The SPSD requires service on the ICP-MS system that is critical to their hydration projects. The contractor's primary focus shall be a yearlong service contract that includes an unlimited number of demand on-site services and one Scheduled Preventative Maintenance visit. This should include Factory-certified replacement parts, Engineer labor and travel, and Software updates and notifications. This service must be conducted by Thermo Electron, as they have the specific expertise on the ICP-MS system and the propriety software and the warranty will stay valid. Natick Contracting is anticipating awarding this contract to Thermo Electron North America LLC, 1400 Northpoint Pkwy Ste 10, West Palm Beach, FL, 33407-1976, United States. Thermo Electron is the only known source that can service the ICP-MS instrument and it is proprietary to Thermo Electron. A Firm Fixed Price Contract will be issued. This is not a request for quotes.� No solicitation package is available.� Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219.� Inquiries and responses may be sent to Maryanne Peck, Contract Specialist, via email at maryanne.e.peck.civ@mail.mil no later than 15 July 2020 @ 12:00PM EST.
