- This is a Sources Sought only.� The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is performing market research to determine if there are any SDVOSB/VOSB/SB vendors that can a centrifuge to perform lab tests for patients supporting the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, North Las Vegas, NV. There is no solicitation document as this time.� The NAICS is 334516 with Small Business size of 1,000 employees.� NOTE:� Please ensure that System For Award Management (SAM) (www.sam.gov) indicates this NAICS code if you are interested in the requirement. Capability statements Location of facility Identify a price estimate for a centrifuge based on the salient characteristics below.� (Note, this is not a request for quote � it�s requesting pricing information for market research purposes only.)�� � � Salient Characteristics Essential/significant physical, functional, and performance characteristics: Must be a centrifuge designed for an industrial hospital environment Must be small and designed for use on a tabletop and be ten (10) inches (+/- 2 inches) wide and ten (10) inches(+/- 2 inches) deep Must be a low volume centrifuge with eight (8) to ten (10) tubes of various sizes Must have multiple time settings between two (2) and five (5) minutes Must have a spin rate up to seven thousand two hundred (7200) rotations per minute (rpms) Must have a fixed angle rotor Must have a lid that locks Generic identification: Large, tabletop refrigerated and non-refrigerated centrifuges � high volume refrigerated and non-refrigerated centrifuges.� Swinging buckets, self-balancing rotor.� Bucket inserts for a variety of tube sizes.� Variable speed/G force with speeds up to approx. 4700 rpm.� Multiple program settings for a variety of sample needs.
