Description
Statement of Work (SOW) 920th Maintenance Group Fans & Lighting Installation Patrick AFB, Florida Draft, 25 June 2020 1. Description of Services The 920th Maintenance Group (920 MXG) has a requirement for the renewal/re-wiring of existing electrical wires and installation of existing fans and light fixtures in hanger 750, Patrick Air Force Base (PAFB), Florida. All fans must be installed and incorporated into the existing fire suppression system 1.3. Objective. The fans shall be incorporated into the fire alarm suppression system in the event of a fire or emergency. The fans should shut down to prevent the spread of fuel and combustibles and to prevent the disbursement of the foam agent from covering the zone of protection each foam generator covers. If there is a fire or HEF (High Expansion Foam) activation, the fans would add to the severity of the fire and disrupt the effectiveness of the HEF blanket. This would pose addition risk to facility occupants and responding firefighters. Currently, the lights are being controlled by circuit breakers within Hanger 750. The original intent of procuring the hanger lights was to have them hanging from the ceiling and connected through the existing light switches. With the installation of new wiring and light switches, the lights will function as intended and not impede on daily operations. 1.1 Fans Installation. 45th Civil Engineering Squadron (45 CES) and Fire Department require fans (6 ea.) be integrated with the fire alarm system to provide emergency shut-off feature in the event of fire (the additional circuit allows the fire alarm system to interrupt normal fan operation). This will require running additional conduit and wiring from the fan controllers (switches) mounted at floor-level near the electrical panels. On the south wall of Hanger 750, it is recommend to run conduit to a common bundle, run conduit back over the hanger ceiling (light level) and then down to the fire alarm control panel. Contractor shall coordinate directly with the alarm contractor OEM (Siemens) to assist with the completion of the wiring and alarm system integration. 1.2 Lights and Electrical Wiring Installation. Legacy equipment (existing wiring and switches for lights in Hanger 750) deemed unserviceable; therefore, the Contractor is responsible for replacing all switches and wiring. The end state for the new wiring would be ten light groups (four lights per group on a single switch), with five switches on each wall. Fans and lights shall be fully operational (to include shut-off function of fire suppression system) upon completion. 1.3 List of Materials (LOM) for Government Furnished Property (GFP) Item Part No. Manufacturer Unit of Measure Quantity V536 Shop Fan, 14, Motor Hub Assembly 008717-01 BIG ASS SOLUTIONS EA 6 V534 Shop Fan Installation Kit 008717-01 BIG ASS SOLUTIONS EA 1 G130 Shop Fan Control Assembly 003137-01 BIG ASS SOLUTIONS EA 1 G784 Isis/Essence Beam Adapter Set, Large, WH SV 04140104002 BIG ASS SOLUTIONS EA 6 P1 14 Shop Fan, Air Foil Set, Raw 003234-001-14 BIG ASS SOLUTIONS EA 6 1529 Industrial/ Pivot Ext Tube Box Assembly, 4, BAF Silver 040404002 BIG ASS SOLUTIONS EA 6 6215 Single Pivot Mount 7 10 BAF Silver 040301002 BIG ASS SOLUTIONS EA 1 Beam Clamp W/Kombo Clip 500K2123413 Minerallac EA 300 Cerrowire 12 SOL 3.31 mm2 2500FT 2 Black, 2 White, 1 Green 112-1602M *Model Number* Cerrowire EA 5 EMT Set Screw Connector 62805B HALEX EA 150 Yellow Twist-on Wire Connector P4-YL200 MAXBrite EA 400 PCS 20 AMP Circuit Breakers N/A Cutler-Hammer EA 6 10 1-1/2 EMT Tubes N/A Nucor EA 60 Metal Electric/Outlet Box N/A Steel City EA 11 Fire Suppression System Model MXL 4100U Fire Control Siemens Simplex EA POC: Fire Suppression: Tyco Fire & Security 800-769-8707/ 407-235-110 1.4 Period of Performance The expected completion date for this requirement shall be 30 days after receipt of order (ARO).
