THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. ALL COST ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION AS REQUESTED BY THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR. Submission is voluntary. USGS requires: Description of Supplies: Multifrequency scientific echosounder with the following characteristics for the U.S.G.S Great Lakes Science Center in Ann Arbor Michigan. a) One (1) round dual frequency combination split and single beam scientific analog underwater transducer. We require this transducer to have the following: -Half-power beam angle 15-20 degrees -Split beam frequency of 38 kilohertz (kHz) for fish -Single beam higher frequency (at least 200 kHz) for invertebrates -Side lobes < -16 decibels (dB) -Diameter < 285 millimeters (mm) -Cable with connector with length greater than or equal to 7.62 meters (25 ft) b) One (1) round split beam scientific analog underwater transducer. We require this transducer to have the following: -Half-power beam angle of approximately seven (7) degrees -Central frequency of 120 kHz with wide bandwidth of approximately 85- 170 kHz -Side lobes < -23 dB -Diameter < 285 mm -Cable with connector with length greater than or equal to 7.62 meters (25 ft) c) One (1) wide band transceiver that can be used to operate item in a above. We require this transceiver to have the following: -License for EK80 software to operate the 38/200 kHz dual frequency transducer in item a above -Record digital data in .raw format that can be read with open source software like Python or licensed software like Echoview or Matlab d) One (1) wide band transceiver that can be used to operate item in b above. We require this transceiver to have the following: -License for EK80 software to operate the 120 kHz transducer across a bandwidth of approximately 85-170 kHz -Record digital data in .raw format that can be read with open source software like Python or licensed software like Echoview or Matlab -Ability to operate in either constant wave (CW) or frequency modulated (FM) modes
