- Diagnostic Medical Physicist for Richard Roudebush VA Medical Center This is a Sources Sought (SS) Notice only, not a solicitation announcement and should not be considered as such. There is not a solicitation available at this time. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this SS, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This SS does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Any information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only and will not be released. Vendor participation is not a promise of future business with the Government. In accordance with FAR Part 10, the purpose of this SS is to conduct Market Research to determine an acquisition strategy for a Firm Fixed-Priced contract action for a Diagnostic Medical Physicist to provide services to the Richard Roudebush VA Medical Center located at 1481 W 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202. Period of Performance: One (1) base year plus four (4) one-year option years. Summation of Requirement include: American Board of Radiology Certified personnel and all of the equipment needed to provide services necessary to perform onsite Certified Diagnostic Medical Services with expertise in Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic Radiology, and Radiation Safety that meet American College of Radiology (ACR) requirements to the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Indianapolis, Indiana. All Indianapolis VAMC imaging equipment shall be inspected and calibrated in accordance with the standards & guidelines set forth by ACR. Contractor is to assist with the institution s Radiation Safety Program by documentation and maintenance of required Federal records with regard to Radiation Safety and imaging equipment inspections, and by providing unlimited 24-hour phone consultation services. Additionally the contractor shall provide imaging equipment inspections/testing upon new equipment acquisition, or replacement/repair of existing equipment as well as Computed Tomography (CT) and Fluoroscopy protocol optimization in accordance with ACR guidelines, as well as the design, calculation and inspection of radiation protection shielding for new or remodeled imaging equipment rooms as required to support the VAMC. As such contract personnel providing on-site Diagnostic Medical Physicist Services must be certified by the American Board of Radiology and adhere to the American College of Radiology Guidelines & Technical Standards for imaging equipment. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10, is conducting market research to determine if there are responsible sources available to satisfy this requirement, identify the business size of available sources, and to determine if there are a sufficient number of Small Business concerns capable of performing the requirements to warrant a set-aside. Contractor shall also comply with any other federal, state, and local laws applicable to the industry. Potential sources must demonstrate experience and knowledge of required services and capability to provide such services.
