- Radiation Safety Officer/ Medical Physicist for VA Northern Indiana Health Care Systems This is a Sources Sought (SS) Notice only, not a solicitation announcement and should not be considered as such. There is not a solicitation available at this time. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this SS, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This SS does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Any information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only and will not be released. Vendor participation is not a promise of future business with the Government. In accordance with FAR Part 10, the purpose of this SS is to conduct Market Research to determine an acquisition strategy for a Firm Fixed-Priced contract action for Radiation Safety Officer/ Medical Physicist services for the VA Northern Indiana Health Care Systems, place of performance including the Fort Wayne Campus ( 2121 Lake Avenue, FT. Wayne, IN, 46805); Marion Campus ( 1700 E 38th Street, Marion, IN, 46953); and St. Joseph County VA Health Care Center ( 1540 Trinity Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545). Period of Performance: One (1) base year plus four (4) one-year option years. Services include quarterly reports to the facility on compliance to the National Health Physics Program (NHPP), annual license renewals and amendments; perform annual physics evaluations using the American College of Radiation (ACR) standards. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10, is conducting market research to determine if there are responsible sources available to satisfy this requirement, identify the business size of available sources, and to determine if there are a sufficient number of Small Business concerns capable of performing the requirements to warrant a set-aside. Contractor shall also comply with any other federal, state, and local laws applicable to the industry. Potential sources must demonstrate experience and knowledge of required services and capability to provide such services. Potential sources should submit: business name and address; point of contact; business size, and any applicable business socio-economic category e.g. Hub zone, Woman-owned, certified Service-Disabled Veteran or Veteran Owned Small business (SDVOSB or VOSB) If your firm is a SDVOSB or VOSB, your entity shall be registered with the VetBiz Registry.
