Description

Sole Source requirement to Artech House Perpetual access to the 2020 Full Collection of Artech House e-Books to include 720 titles. This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for a Sole Source requirement to Artech House / CAGE Code 5F478 / for perpetual access to the 2020 full collection of Artech House e-Books to include 720 titles. This request is prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The award will be evaluated on a technically-acceptable-lowest-price basis. The NAICS associated with this purchase is 511130, size standard 1000. Method of payment will be Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF). Sole Source Requirement: The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR Part 6.303-2. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all bids, proposals, or quotations received by the closing response date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Description of Product Background/Introduction: Dudley Knox Library (DKL) at Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) maintains a curated portfolio of information products from a variety of credible and proprietary sources that support teaching, learning, and research needs of NPS students and faculty. Selection is based on relevance to curricula and research interest, the quality of content, and some technical delivery preferences. The Artech eBook Collection will strengthen the teaching and research capabilities at the Naval Postgraduate School�s Graduate School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (GSEAS), the Graduate School of Operational and Information Sciences (GSOIS), as well as NPS Academic Groups and Centers such as the Cyber Academic Group and the Space Systems Academic Group. Specifically, the Artech House eBook collection helps NPS� engineering students and researchers, sharpen their skills with cutting-edge books from the world�s top authorities, covering topics such as: Antennas & Propagation, Bioengineering, Communications, Electromagnetic Analysis, Electronic Warfare, Engineering Management, GNSS Technology, Intelligence-Information Ops, Microsystems, Microwave & RF Engineering, Photonics, Power Engineering, Project Management, Radar, Remote Sensing, Security & Privacy, Sensors, Signal Processing, Software Engineering & IT, Solid State Technology, Space Technologies, Transportation Systems.
