Description
This market survey is to support the FAA acquisition of services to test harsh environment wind sensors for the Juneau Airport Wind System (JAWS).� For the 2020/2021 winter season the FAA intends to test the following three prototype wind sensors:� FT742-DM by FT Technologies, 8371.UMTX by Lufft and the u[Sonic] Modbus by Lambrecht.� The FAA requires a stable testing environment in harsh weather (icing) conditions with 24hr staffing; backup power supply; and a stable connectivity to provide the ideal testing environment.� This requirement will support the completion of the JAWS tech refresh system design.� �Interested vendors must show they can offer a facility to conduct anemometer testing with the following capabilities:� Frequent winds during the wintertime months (Dec-Feb) in excess of 100mph Icing rates of 50-150mm/hr. Fixed cameras in place for remote equipment monitoring 24hr A/C power with backup generator 24hr communication with network access for real-time monitoring 24hr on-site human observations of meteorological conditions On-site technicians for maintenance/troubleshooting on request The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from all businesses that are interested in and can show capability of meeting requirements as noted above for this service The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code and size standard for this effort: NAICS:� 541990�All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services Size Standard:� $16.5M Responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only.� This is not a screening information request or request for proposal or quote of any kind.� The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals.� The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing a response to this market survey.� Therefore any cost associated with a market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor�s expense.� In order to meet the capability determination the FAA requires the following from interested vendors: Capability Statement � -� Type of services provided by your firm -� Size and type of services provided on previous contracts -� Number of years in business -� Documentation that clearly states the interested vendor can meet each and all capability requirements as stated above All responses to this market survey must be received by 4:00 p.m. Central (Oklahoma) Time, Tuesday July 01, 2020.� The FAA requires all responses to be submitted electronically to the following: Email:� kathleen.d.islas@faa.gov Please include �MARKEY SURVEY RESPONSE:� JAWS Sensor Weather Testing� in the subject line of your email.� Information provided will not be released but please mark �PROPRIETARY� on all documents submitted as necessary.
