- UPGRADE MAIN GATE BARRIERS Category: Y-Construction of Structures and Facilities NAICS Code: 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction� Contact: 115th Fighter Wing, 3110 Mitchell Street, Madison, WI 53704, POC: Major Dave Mattila Synopsis: UPGRADE MAIN GATE BARRIERS. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential sources for this project including interested Small Business sources. �This notice is for planning purposes only. �No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice or any follow up information requests. All interested parties should respond. � The 115th Fighter Wing intends to issue a solicitation and award of a contract to upgrade the main gate barriers. �This project will have a base bid with five options. The base bid will involve removal of the existing in-pavement barriers and installation of two electrically powered drop beam barriers at the main gate entry point. �The five options involve the installation of one powered vertical barrier, one non-powered vertical barrier and three non-powered horizontal barriers at various locations on the installation. �The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. �All interested concerns will provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive intent to submit a proposal as a prime contractor no later than 1500 Central Daylight Time on 15 July 2020. �This notification, which shall not exceed five typewritten pages, must include (1) positive statement of intent to bid as a prime contractor, and (2) a completed and signed Source Sought Information Request Form and (3) a listing of projects completed during the past six years, both for government and private industry. �The type of project, dollar value, contract number, location, and point of contact are to be included. �Indicate if you were prime or subcontractor, and if subcontractor, provide the name and point of contact for the prime contractor. �(4) a brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel that would be used to accomplish the contract. In the event adequate Small Business contractors are not available for adequate competition for this project, it may be advertised as unrestricted. �Information shall be provided via email to: dave.mattila.2@us.af.mil. �Include the following in the subject line-Sources Sought W50S9F-20-R-0008. �No facsimile responses will be honored. PROGRAM DETAILS: The 115th Fighter Wing at Dane County Regional Airport -Truax Field, Madison, WI is conducting market research seeking capable sources for services, non-personal, to Provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances and supervision necessary to construct XGFG192006 Upgrade Main Gate Barriers. This project seeks to repair and replace, in-ground Anti-Ram Vehicle Barriers by constructing new above ground Anti-Ram Vehicle Barriers of difference types at various locations along the Truax Field, Madison Wisconsin property boundary. �Typical work includes but not limited to; 1) Minor demolition, which includes removal of concrete curbs & gutter, asphalt roads & drives, aggregate & earthen materials, sidewalks, lawns, electrical service and other utilities services. 2) Furnish and install new concrete foundations, concrete curbs & gutter, asphalt paving, asphalt marking, electrical power and controls. 3) Furnish and install two complete and operational electrically powered drop beam barriers at the installation main entry gate. 4) Furnish and install one powered vertical barrier, one non-powered vertical barrier and three non-powered horizontal barriers at various locations on the installation, in complete and operational upon completion of project. Strict adherence to construction plans and specifications is necessary to ensure ASTM F2656 certifications are achieved. This solicitation will result in a single construction contract.� �
