- Description
- The Scalable Network Node (SNN) is the focal point of the Expeditionary Signal Battalion Enhanced (ESB-E) construct. The SNN fulfills the Medium Kit requirements of the ESB-E through both an SNN-Baseband and an SNN-VSAT. The SNN Baseband is also utilized to fulfill the Small and Large kit requirements of the ESB-E. The SNN Baseband is a virtualized tri-enclave system with two physical enclaves and NIPR tunneled over the Unified Transport Network (UTN). User density for the SNN-Baseband is achieved through minimum number of ports on the physical device and through maximum use of external switches utilized in a separate case. The SNN-VSAT is a tri-band (KU, KA, and X) capable system between 1M and 1.5M in dish diameter which is ARSTRAT certified without caveats on TDMA and FDMA waveforms
