Description
The Naval Air Systems Command, PMA-265 (Program Office for F/A-18 & EA-18G Aircraft), is soliciting information from industry to determine potential contractors who have the skills, experience, qualifications, and knowledge required to successfully complete a delta qualification on a Boeing Independent Research and Development (IRAD) obsolescence redesign of a processor used in the Distributed Targeting Processor-Networked (DTP-N).� The contractor shall be able to work with Boeing, the OEM of the DTP-N, and meet all schedule requirements to support procurement of processors and delta qualification timelines to support future DTP-N procurements. Boeing is the only known source with the engineering and technical data to perform this effort. The contractor shall be responsible for obtaining, from The Boeing Corporation, any information deemed essential to ensure the parts are compatible and qualified for use in the current production DTP-N. THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), BUT RATHER A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ISSUED AS A MARKET RESEARCH REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. The Government is looking to identify interested and capable sources only. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or enter into a contractual agreement. The Government is not obligated to pay for information submitted in response to this request. Capable contractors are requested to provide a capabilities statement of no more than 10 pages in length that demonstrates the respondent's ability and qualification necessary to show competitive capability. In addition, please provide your company's business size and CAGE code. All properly marked proprietary data received in response to this notice will be protected from release outside of the Government. All capability statements shall be submitted no later than 1400 EST on 8 July 2020. Responses shall be submitted electronically to the designated Contract Specialist, Nancy Morris, in Microsoft Word format or Portable Document Format (PDF) at the following email address: nancy.t.morris@navy.mil.
