Description

UPDATE: The size of the base plate is 54 inches by 54 inches and 1 inch thick. UPDATE: The need delivery by date has been modified to 20 weeks from the date of the award. Please see the updated attached statement of need for more detail. This is a request for one Palfinger�marine boom crane. This solicitation is being issued as a full and open competition. The associated NAICS code is 333923.� The small business size standard is 1250 Employees. This is�for 1 Palfinger Marine Crane. Heavy equipment and evidence is routinely removed or loaded on to the vessel with the crane. The crane required specifications are: Made for a marine environment Lift at least 1,500 lbs. at 20 feet extension (horizontal distance from crane to hook) Ability to rotate 270 degrees Ability to tie into the existing 240 volt cables Include pedestal, tank, motor, etc. Rendered drawings Weather-proof valve bank cover Installation, Commission, & Startup component in Ketchikan, AK @ NOAA OLE Building Provide cost for labor, travel & expenses in connection with Commission & startup Provide any and all tools to complete Commission & startup (includes weight test), as per manufacturer specifications Mounting plate to be created in factory, as per manufacturer specifications, & shipped with crane Bolt crane on existing concrete deck in prepared area, as per manufacturer specifications BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION: This particular brand name is essential to the requirement and market research indicates similar products do not meet or cannot be modified to meet agency needs. Palfinger provides a compact marine crane with simple options to complete the specifications AKD Ketchikan needs. The crane being requesting has a similar footprint and would be fairly easily made to fit the location of the older existing crane. Also, many nearby companies utilize this same brand for their crane needs, which shows the popularity and great versatility of this brand, making it an easy choice for purchase.
