- NASA/KSC Launch Service Program (LSP) seeks insight into companies that can develop and foster capabilities in the commercial market under the Venture Class Launch Service Demo 2 (VCLS Demo�2) acquisition. It is anticipated that the Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) will be release in the next two weeks. LSP intends to hold a virtual Industry Day on July 7, 2020 from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm eastern time to discuss the VCLS Demo 2 requirement.� Interested parties shall register via e-mail to ksc-vcls2@mail.nasa.gov with the name and title of the attendees.� Attendees are limited to 5 per company.� Companies are highly encouraged to register by July 6, 2020 in order to receive timely participation instructions. LSP anticipates awarding multiple contracts to demonstrate a launch capability by performing one of the following missions by June 30, 2022: Mission One: A dedicated launch service for CubeSats that will include a single launch with a delivery of 30 kg payload mass to 500 km at inclination of TBP degrees between 40-60 degrees. OR Mission Two: A launch service with CubeSats as the primary payload. �This will include a single launch for delivery of Constellation A and B.� Constellation A is a 75 kg payload mass to a 550 km Sun-Synchronous Orbit (SSO).� Constellation B is a second delivery of 20 kg to 550 km SSO with a minimum 10 degree plane change.� Potential offerors shall be domestic launch service providers in accordance with 51 USC � 50131 �Commercial Space Act of 1998�.� All responsible domestic sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.�� This acquisition is expected to be a Small Business set-aside the NAICS Code and Size Standard are 481212 - Nonscheduled Chartered Freight Air Transportation and 1,500 employees, respectively. This Pre-Solicitation synopsis is not a request for proposal. It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. Responses in any form are not offers and the Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this announcement is strictly voluntary.� The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA Business Opportunities page is https://beta.sam.gov/help/contract-opportunities It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
