Description
G:CPGRE, ROOFING FELT (MEETS REQUIREMENTS) HISTORIC FORT PICKENS 13 BLDGS ROOF REPLACEMENT, GULF ISLANDS NATIONAL SEAHORE, ESCAMBIA COUNTY, GULF BREEZE, FL MAGNITUDE: A single, firm fixed price construction contract with an estimated price range between $100,000 and $250,000 to remove existing and replace architectural shingles. Approximately 24,155 combined base area and standard roof pitch. The bldgs. can be readily identified by the green roofs. BASIS OF AWARD: Tradeoff Process IAW FAR 13.106-2 using a comparative evaluation of price and other factors Actual SF based upon take off using software and field verifying measurements. RBG found the following footprint for each building including allowances for pitch but not for waste. 1. Cottage FL01 A&B - footprint = 2923 SF 2. Quarters FL02 - footprint = 2913 SF 3. Building FL03 - footprint = 2913 SF 4. Captain's House FL04 - footprint = 3035 SF 5. Discovery Center FL05 - footprint = 12098 SF 6. Firehouse FL06 - footprint = 2463 SF 7. Quarters FL07 A&B - footprint = 2601 SF 8. Quarters FL08 A&B - footprint = 1756 SF 9. Building FL10 - footprint = 509 SF 10. Field Office FL11 - footprint = 1113 SF 11. Chlorinator Bldg FL13 footprint = 448 SF 12. Well #2 Bldg FL14 footprint = 579 SF 13. Warehouse FL17 footprint = 1698 SF Total Estimated Roof Area: 35,049 SF (approximately 351 squares (excludes waste factor) The successful offeror response to RFQ exceed stated requirement in the following ways: - up to 5 sheets of plywood decking replacement per building or up to 30 SF of shiplap decking replacement per building. - replacement of sheet metal vents with modern vents at no extra cost (code requirements) - removal of siding at roof/sidewall intersection and installation of a frieze board painted to custom match color as needed or re-installing existing siding when possible - 5 - year contractor�s labor roof warranty in addition to Mfg product warranty - schedule: 90 Days from Notice to Proceed These are just some of the reasons that separate the successful offeror from the competition, and a small price premium justify awarding to other than the lowest priced offeror, which represent the ""best value"" to the Government based upon price and other factors.
