Description

This project is to repair Binz-Engleman Road at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The objective is to lift the sunken pavement area to the proper elevation by stabilizing road surface to improve the Binz-Engleman Road Embankment. This is a construction requirement in accordance with FAR Part 36. This project is 100% set aside for competitive small business. The NAICS for this requirement is 237310. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Repair Binz-Englemen Road from Bridge to Garden Dr by bringing the failed road portion back up to proper elevation by utilizing Deep Injection Stabilization of Binz-Englemen Road and embankment. Work performed will be deep injection stabilization of a two part polymer: High Density Polyurethane Polymer (HDPP). Contractor shall perform injections in accordance with (IAW) the drawings and specifications. The contractor shall follow and abide by, but not be limited to the Unified Facility Criteria (UFC). UFC 03-270-01 (O & M MANUAL: ASPHALT AND CONCRETE PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR), dated 02/2018, authorizes High Density Polyurethane Polymer (HDPP) and deep injection (DI) for repairs and maintenance.
