Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 12405B20Q0071 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The NAICS code is 334111 Electronic Computer Manufacturing. This solicitation document incorporates those provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-101. The USDA, ARS, SEA intends to procure a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) machine. The PCR machine must comply with the following minimum specifications: PCR (polymerase chain reaction) machine with real-time optical fluorescence detection for 96 well plate format, Peltier heating and cooling with thermal range of 0-100�C, accuracy �0.2�C, and ramp rate greater than 3�C per second, Thermal gradient up to 24�C for optimization of multiple temperatures in a single assay, Detection of up to 5 fluorescent dyes in a single reaction well to allow multiple simultaneous measurements, Dedicated FRET channel, Can accommodate reaction volumes of 1 to 50 microliters, Sensitive optics can detect extremely low levels of fluorescence (detecting as low as 1 copy of target sequence) as well as variations between samples of up to 10 orders of magnitude, Can run as a standalone machine or with laptop for control Includes software to perform ANOVA statistical analysis and produce publication-ready annotated data plots Operator manuals and maintenance/repair manuals Warranty minimum of 1-year parts and labor (longer warranty preferable) Delivery to: Dr. Matt Krakowsky, Central Crops Research Station, 13223 US Business 70 West.
