Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2/RPO East of the Department of Veterans Affairs is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing a Biomarker Testing Services which will include protein assaying of blood samples and calculating the Machine-Learning/Artificial Intelligence HART CVE Test Scores at The James J. Peters VA Medical Center, 130 W. Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 621511. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email) and must be received no later than June 23, 2020 at 17:00 Email: Kodjovi.atikla2@va.gov No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Interested parties MUST provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities, DUNS number and address, point of contact and social-economic. Interested parties who do not submit the above information on or before the response due date and time will not be considered for this procurement. Biomaker Testing Services are required for a Base plus four (4) options years: Veterans with spinal cord injury (SCI) have multiple risk factors for coronary artery disease (CAD). Our research center has been trying to find the most efficient and accurate manner to identify those at highest risk of CAD. One project of The National Center for the Medical Consequences of Spinal Cord Injury has been funded to address this question through research study protocol # BAU-11-075; MIRB #01405 Coronary Artery Calcification (CAC) Score and Risk Factor for Coronary Artery Disease in Persons with SCI . Once the study samples are sent to the contractor s laboratory, Biomarker Testing Services are performed which include protein assaying of blood samples and calculating the Machine-Learning/Artificial Intelligence HART CVE Test Scores. The results of the HART CAD blood studies will be reviewed in isolation as a manner to determine CAD but results also will be compared to findings of other more conventional blood work (lipid profile, hemoglobin A1c, serum glucose values, other emerging risk factors for CAD) and other measures, including body composition (percent fat and lean body tissue) and level of activity. Period of Performance is for Base year plus four option years, (To be determined by modification action). Base year:                        08/10/2020 - 08/09/2021 Option Period One:          08/10/2021 - 08/09/2022 Option Period Two:         08/10/2022 - 08/09/2023 Option Period Three:       08/10/2023 - 08/09/2024 Option Period Four:         08/10/2024 - 08/09/2025 The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 621511 Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
