- Description
- General:� This is a non-personnel services contract to provide Machinery Repair on the Plasma/Oxy Fuel Cutting Center. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein.� Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government. Description of Services/Introduction.� The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform Machinery Repair on the Plasma/Oxy Fuel Cutting Center as defined in this Performance Work Statement except for those items specified as government furnished property and services.� The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract. Background.�� The Profile Cutting System (PCS) Plasma/Oxy Fuel Cutting Center (Asset #: 4523AC1136 / Serial Number: 100535�A/B) was installed at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS�&�IMF) in 2017.� This machine was procured through the Capital Investment Program (CIP) to recapitalize an existing plasma/oxy fuel cutting center.� Objectives.��� This Performance Work Statement (PWS) supports repairs on the Plasma/Oxy Fuel Cutting Center (Asset #: 4523AC1136 / Serial Number: 100535 A/B) at PSNS�&�IMF located in Building�460 which includes parts/tooling and services.� It is the Government�s intent that a single (primary) contractor be awarded this contract and be responsible for the provision of equipment, and the accomplishment of all work detailed by this PWS.� The work shall be accomplished by an experienced factory authorized representative possessing significant experience with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) plasma and oxy fuel cutting machines due to the complexity of the system and controllers.� Scope. � This PWS requires a single contractor to perform Machinery Repair on the Plasma/Oxy Fuel Cutting Center.� The contractor shall be responsible for the engineering, removal, installation, components, and transportation to accomplish the work required in this PWS.� The contractor shall be responsible for all materials and labor services required to accomplish the work required in this PWS. �At the completion of this PWS, the entire plasma and oxy fuel cutting machine will be fully operational and will have an operational and accuracy test performed completed for acceptance.� The Machinery Repair on the Plasma/Oxy Fuel Cutting Center shall be performed in two deliverables.� The machine consists of a North Gantry (Serial Number 100535B) and a South Gantry (Serial Number 100535A).� During the Machinery Repair on the Plasma/Oxy Fuel Cutting Center one of the two gantries shall be operational at all times.� Period of Performance:� The period of performance shall be specified for each specified Contract Line Item Number (CLIN).��
