Description

This is a Notice of Intent to award a sole-source contract and is not a request for competitive proposals.� The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) as prescribed by FAR 13.106-1(b). Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Leavenworth, KS intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price award to KanREN, INC, Lawrence, KS 66047-1620, to provide 1Gb secure protected connectivity (anti-virus, anti-spam, Intrusion and DDOS Protection at network level), to the Kansas State and Global Research and Educational networks (Internet2) at Fort Leavenworth, KS.� The NAICS code for this requirement 519130 � Internet Publishing and Broadcasting and Web Search Portals (Size Standard 1,000 Employees) with a Product Service Code (PSC) D322 � IT & TELECOM � INERNET.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within thirty (30) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. �Interested parties may identify their capability to respond to this requirement.� Interested parties must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government to garner further consideration by the government.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is based upon responses received from a prior Sources Sought Notification for a period of 30 days where there was a lack of capable response submitted.� Any responses received in response to this notice is within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Written responses to this Notice of Intent to Sole Source shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement.� MICC Fort Leavenworth will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice.
