Description
This is a Sources Sought/Request for Information only. This is not a Solicitation Announcement, nor is it a Request for Proposal. This request does not obligate the Government in any contract award. Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), a Power Marketing Agency, under Department of Energy, is conducting research to determine the market capabilities of potential contractors to support projects in the broad category of General Construction include in the attachment (Attachment 1) of the type of work anticipated.� WAPA is a Federal power marketing administration that markets and delivers reliable, cost-based hydroelectric power and related services to wholesale customers in 15 states. WAPA is comprised of four regions: Desert Southwest Region (DSW), Rocky Mountain Region (RMR), Sierra Nevada Region (SNR), and Upper Great Plains Region (UGP). Desert Southwest Region (DSW) DSW serves preference customers in Arizona, California and Nevada. DSW�s mission includes maintenance and operation of the high-voltage transmission system including nearly 40 substations and 3,100 miles of high-voltage power transmission lines that deliver power from power plants to its wholesale customers. Rocky Mountain Region (RMR) RMR serves preference customers in Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska and Kansas. RMR�s mission includes maintenance and operation of the high-voltage transmission system including 80 substations and over 5,400 miles of high-voltage power transmission lines that deliver power from CRSP-MC and over 19 power plants to its wholesale customers. Sierra Nevada Region (SNR) SNR serves preference customers in California. SNR�s mission includes maintenance and operation of the high-voltage transmission system including nearly 18 substations and over 884 miles of high-voltage power transmission lines that deliver power from 11 power plants to its wholesale customers. Upper Great Plains Region (UGP) UGP serves preference customers in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska. UGP�s mission includes maintenance and operation of the high-voltage transmission system including 100 substations and over 7,800 miles of high-voltage power transmission lines that deliver power from 8 power plants to its wholesale customers. WAPA is contemplating multiple options which include combing all regions under one contract, combine multiple regions (1 or more) into a contract or having a one contract for each region.� The contract types could be multiple award IDIQs (indefinite delivery indefinite quantity) or single award IDIQs.� THESE DECISIONS WILL BE BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH.� All interested firms should submit the following information: Name & Address of your firm Point of Contact (Name/Phone/E-mail) Current SAM Business Size, to include designation as HUBZone, 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Woman-Owned Business, and Large Business. Bonding capability � both single and aggregate capacity for multiple task orders, as evidenced by submission of Surety Company Letter stating bonding capacity. Past performance of similar work identified in Attachment 1 in the last three (3) years.� Be sure to include the project name and description of the key/salient features of the project, completion date, and total contract construction value. Identify what regions your firm would be will to work in. Submission Instructions: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform the above-listed services are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by Jun�26, 2020 at 2pm, Mountain Standard Time.� All responses under this Sources Sought must be emailed to bachelier@wapa.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions.
