Description

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), intends to issue a modification to increase the ceiling of�the contract, 693JJ318C000028 with Tru Simulation & Training for Highway Driving Simulator. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 3304(a) (1), FAR 6.302-l (b)(1) ""Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements."" ""When there is a reasonable basis to conclude that the agency's minimum needs can only be satisfied by -- (i) Unique supplies or services available from only one source or only one supplier with unique capabilities."" This notice serves as notice of intent to award a modification under the current contract and is not a request for proposals. However, responsible sources that believe they can perform these services in their entirety may submit a written notification of interest and capability statement by June 29, 2020 to be considered by the agency. FHWA will not be responsible for any costs incurred in response to this notice. Capability statements shall be submitted to the Contract Specialist at dewhyte.mcpherson@dot.gov.
