- SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory has a requirement for the following items in the quantity of 1 each.� (1) Electron Time-of-Flight Spectrometer ETF21 with the following properties: � The spectrometer allows to retard electrons by at least a factor of 100. In addition to the spectrometer designed by Hemmers et al. it will have also a high sensitivity mode for collimation of the decelerated electron beam. In high sensitivity mode the acceptance angle is about +/-3�, in normal retarded mode ca. +/- 0.5�. If the electrons are not retarded the acceptance angle is ca. +/- 3�. The length of the field-free drift tube of the spectrometer is ca. 480 mm � The maximal voltage which can be applied to the drift tube is -2000 V � The time-of-flight resolution which can be achieved is better than 1e-3 under optimal conditions � Minimum electron energy ca. 10 eV � Channelplate detector with two-stage chevron geometry, channelplates with 5 �m pore size for fast response times, 40 mm active diameter � The tof spectrometer has an entrance aperture with ca. 7 mm diameter. � Only completely non-magnetic materials are used for the spectrometer, most of the parts including the drift tube and all screws are made from titanium � The vacuum chamber of the electron spectrometer is made from non- magnetic stainless steel 1.4429 (equivalent to 316 LN). It consists of a 6� od conflat (CF100)connection flange, a 6� od conflat (CF100) pump flange (CF100) and a 2.75� od conflat flange (CF38) for metering the pressure inside the tof.� � The spectrometer comes with a high voltage power supply in a 19� box, 3HE (132 mm) high. The power supply delivers the voltages for the electron extraction module, the voltage for decelerating the electrons in the drift tube and the voltage for the mcp. The high voltage module for the mcp is floating on the drift tube potential. � The high voltages are adjusted via potentiometers or alternatively by control voltages 0 � 10V delivered by an AD converter � Access to the circuit diagrams for the high voltage power supply and the instructions how to align the power supplies are given � The high voltage power supplies come with an interlock system which shuts down the high voltage when a 24V-signal fails https://www.kaesdorf.de/ElectronTOF.html (2) With Option: The maximal voltage which can be applied to the drift tube is -10 000 V (3) Delivery: according to INCOTERM CIP Quote is for product only no on-site services of any kind permitted.
