Description

THIS PROCUREMENT IS SET ASIDE TO SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS ONLY SOLICITATION: 47PF0020R0055 DESCRIPTION The� General Services Administration (GSA), Great Lakes Region (Region 5), will be issuing a solicitation for General Construction Services at the Ralph H. Metcalfe Federal Building located at 77 W. Jackson St. Chicago, Illinois 60604.�� The purpose of this project is to renovate and expand the current Childcare Center.� The scope is to renovate the existing 2000 SF center of the first floor, and construct an additional 6000 SF on the second floor.� This will involve the demolition of existing space to the shell; building 3 new classrooms; renovating staff offices; replacing and install new ceilings; install new lighting and controls; install new finishes; install films on existing glazing; install new window treatments; install a new HVAC system; install new restrooms; and install a new security system.� The expected dollar range for this procurement is $1,000,000 to $3,000,000. The performance period is 443 calendar days upon receipt of on-site Notice to Proceed.�� The contractor is to provide all management, supervision, manpower, equipment and supplies necessary for this project.� The proposed contract is being solicited as a Small Business Set Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction).� The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing the secure website, beta SAM (beta.SAM.gov). Beta SAM is designed to safeguard Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) acquisition information and is fully integrated with other electronic Government initiatives. Registration in beta SAM is required in order to download solicitation documents and is used to validate vendor identity. Contractors not registering in this system will be ineligible to download the solicitation and ineligible for an award.
