Description
Project Description: The requirement for this project is to remove by sand blasting the corrosion from the S1 Beam structure in the underground area of the Horizontal Thrust Stand, open up the existing drain holes, and apply a sealant to the beams and drain holes to prevent future corrosion.� General: Build Sandblast Containment - The vendor shall build a sand containment area under and around the areas to be blasted. Remove Corrosion - The vendor shall sand blast all areas of the S1 Beam Structure where the current corrosion exists down to bare metal, at least 10 inches above the high water level on the S1 beam. Enlarge Drain Holes - The vendor shall open the existing drain holes to have a minimum diameter of 1"" after the application of the protective coating. Apply Protective Coating - Apply a protective coating to all areas of the beam that were blasted covering 100% of the bare metal, including all drain holes. The vendor shall use Sherwin Williams Macropoxy 646 PW, to be applied by sprayer, brush or roller. Clean up all blasting debris above and below ground. Haul away offsite all sand and waste, including all trash (plastic sheeting, bags, wood, paper, personal items). Vendor shall provide all equipment needed to perform the contracted work, to include ladders, air compressor, safety equipment, personal protective equipment, lighting, electrical cords for 110v outlets, as required. The Government shall provide 110v electricity necessary for the project. Preliminary Schedule: All work shall be completed within 30 days of the start date. Work shall be completed during the operating hours of 0700-1500. Work shall start not later than 30 days after contract award. Security Information: Vendor personnel shall comply with all pertinent Air Force security regulations while working on the project & on base property. Work will be performed on the flight line Ramp 18. Vehicles/workers must be escorted to and from the work location on the flight line. All vehicles must display flight line pass while on the flight line. Photography and videography is not permitted on the flight line. All employees must speak English and possess a valid California Driver's License and provide proof of insurance for all vehicles entering the base. All drivers shall obey all traffic laws while on base. Safety Information: Vendor employees shall comply with all OSHA safety standards Vendor shall provide Liability Insurance while working on base. A Porta Potty will be provided at the work location for vendor use. Vendor shall remain at work site at all times unless being escorted to or from the flight line.�
