Description
ASL 5000 RespiSIM System Educational Package - PRO w/2 year service plan, RespiPatient Consumables Replacement package (31 10 865), OxSIM SpO2 Simulator (31 00 340), Ventilator Interface Kit option (31 00 765), and shipping. A. Minimum Clinical Performance Requirements: 1. Size: Fully assembled Pro Package: 69 x 24 x 64 (38L when folded) RespiPatient manikin lying on tabletop: 27.5"" x 18.25"" x 9.5"", approximately 23 lbs. ASL 5000: 8.6"" x 16.8"" x 12.4"", approximately 22 lbs. 2. Patient Safety Features: N/A 3. Operator Control Features: Simulate any respiratory patient scenario including disease states and deteriorating/improving patient states 4. Software/ Hardware requirements: The RespiSim Software enhances the use of the ASL 5000 Breathing Simulator as a ventilator management teaching system. The software allows instructors to stay in control of the simulation and gives Airman the full view of patient-ventilator interaction, from vital signs to x-rays, in structured, multi-stage simulations. Features include: Instructor Dashboard for easy and comprehensive control over all aspects of the Simulation Rich debriefing environment including recordings of entire sessions with waveforms and event markers Vital signs monitor to display lab results, x-rays and ABG values 5. Interoperability/connectivity with other equipment/systems or existing systems already in place: N/A, this is a stand-alone system and does not require any interaction with the existing systems. 6. Communication capabilities with other equipment/systems or existing systems already in place: N/A, this is a stand-alone system 7. Unique requirements that cannot be meet by other manufactures include: Resistance and compliance parameter ranges allow for virtually any patient condition Resistance and compliance set by instructor using physiologically accurate units that take the guess-work out of creating disease states Simulate independent inspiratory and expiratory resistance to realistically create disease states that rely on specific expiratory resistance, such as asthma Simulate independent left and right lung compliance Define non-linear compliance curves The ASL 5000's 0 - 150 BPM range makes it compatible with the full range of neonatal and pediatric patients Allows users to set variable efforts from 0 to 100 cmH20 (negative pressure) which allows for simulating apneic patients all the way to fully healthy spontaneously breathing patients Triggers the ventilator even with low trigger sensitivity Simulate spontaneous breathing trial scenarios Simulate any type of patient-ventilator dysynchrony scenario (inspiratory, expiratory, trigger, and cycle) Control the patient's I:E ratio to either synchronize or purposefully dysynchronize the Ventilator Changes to ASL 5000 parameters are applied almost immediately (1-2 breaths) Changes can be set to apply gradually (up to 12 breaths) via a user-controlled slider Randomized breath patterns Time-varying parameters Interacts realistically with all modes of ventilation including Pressure/Volume Control, HFOV, and particularly spontaneous modes such as Pressure Support, ASV, and PAV Can hold PEEP over 20 cmH2O Change between volume and pressure control modes seamlessly on the same patient without re-adjusting lung parameters or interrupting scenario Connect ASL 5000 directly to ventilator with no manikin to simulate neonatal or pediatric patients Able to interact with High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV) Integration with RespiSim Curriculum Modules Chest rise varies from shallow to deep based on breathing effort Quick Choice Menu includes Normal, ARDS, Asthma, COPD for adults; CF for pediatrics; and BPD and IRDS for neonates; All with variable severity Real-time waveform data displayed for instructor (flows, pressures, volumes, PIP, PEEP, Pplat, Rate, Tidal Volume) Using its internal pressure sensor, the ASL 5000 captures feedback from the ventilator and provides real-time feedback to the instructor displayed in the RespiSim Software The data can also be pushed to a separate monitor for use as teaching tool further enhancing the ASL 5000's use B. Source Considerations: Universal input - Connect the ASL 5000 to a properly grounded wall outlet provided 100 - 240 V AC, 50 - 60 Hz C. Biomedical Tech Considerations: Training includes: two day on-site training with a respiratory therapist and Modes of Ventilation (package of 5 curriculum modules) and Patient-VentilatorSynchrony in the Volume Assist-Control Mode (package of 4 curriculum modules) are included Service and Maintenance Options: RespiSim System 1-year Extended Warranty for Pro Package 1-year extension of manufacturers warranty (2 total years). Covers repairs due to manufacturers defects or workmanship. Does not cover damages resulting from improper use, negligence, disassembly, unauthorized service, and unauthorized modification. Computer/monitors are excluded from warranty. Initial purchase only. RespiSim System 2-year Extended Warranty for Pro Package 2-year extension of manufacturers warranty (3 total years). Covers repairs due to manufacturers defects or workmanship. Does not cover damages resulting from improper use, negligence, disassembly, unauthorized service, and unauthorized modification. Computer/monitors are excluded from warranty. Initial purchase only. 2-year Service Plan for Educator ASL 5000 Once, within this period, at a time of customers choice the following services will be performed to the ASL 5000: Inspection of the ASL 5000, calibration with data, replacement of piston seals, and lubrication of moving parts. Does not include cost of shipping. RespiPatient Consumables Replacement Package Includes overlay neck skin attachments (pack of 5), chest drain insert set, and needle decompression inserts (pack of two). ASL 5000 is extremely durable - only maintenance suggested is bi-annual calibration of the ASL 5000 which will be maintained by departmental budget Software upgrades will be budgeted for, as needed, through departmental budget
