SAM Class Code: 20 Subject: New Work Boats for Pittsburg District Set-Aside: 100% Small Business Solicitation: W912BU20Q0020 Responses Date: June 30, 2020 Place of Performance: Contractorï¿½s Facilities DESCRIPTION The Marine Design Center (MDC) of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Philadelphia District intends to award a firm fixed price contract to acquire two (2) all-welded aluminum work boats for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District. The vessels will operate on the Allegheny River in support of transporting and placing USACE buoys around locks AR2 through AR9. Additionally, if Option is exercised, this shall include a third vessel with the same specifications. For this contract, the Contractor shall include, at a minimum, all costs to provide and deliver the following: ï¿½ Provide drawings for the design and construction of two (2) workboats that satisfies the requirements in this procurement package. ï¿½ Fabricate two workboats in accordance with the specifications of this contract. ï¿½ If awarded, the Contractor shall provide a third vessel in accordance with the specifications of this contract. ï¿½ Test all equipment, systems, piping, and electrical systems for all awarded vessels. ï¿½ Deliver the completed workboats to: o Pittsburgh Engineering Warehouse and Repair Station 3900 Grand Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15225 ï¿½ Delivery shall include all costs associated with the delivery including consumables, transportation equipment, labor, fees, and other costs. ï¿½ Final Acceptance Demonstrations at the Corpsï¿½ designated point of Final Acceptance of the completed workboats. These specifications are intended to describe the contract design for one aluminum workboat. All workboats procured in this solicitation shall be built to these specifications. The principal dimensions of the vessel are: Molded Length 40ï¿½-0ï¿½ Molded Beam 14ï¿½-0ï¿½ Freeboard 4ï¿½-0ï¿½ Air Draft 14ï¿½-0ï¿½ This acquisition will be made using Request for Quote, a single award will be made as a whole, to the lowest priced, responsive bidder determined to be responsible in accordance with FAR Part 12 Procedures, as a set aside for small business procurement. The closing is projected to be conducted on or about June 30, 2020 at 1:00 pm EST; however, this information is subject to change. ï¿½Offerors should review the entire solicitation. The solicitation will contain FAR provision 52.204-7; therefore a bidder must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award.
