- This Sources Sought is being utilized to locate a local company to provide support for the referenced requisition.� Please contact: T. Paige Hurt if you're interested in providing a proposal (once solicited) by not later than Friday June 12, 2020 by 12:00 PST: tiffany.hurt@usda.gov San Bernardino National Forest HVAC Project Contractors are required to perform a site visit at each listed location prior to submitting bid.� It is the responsibility of the contractor to field verify all information prior to submitting a bid.� This project consists of removing existing HVAC units and replacing existing units with new units.� Disposing or recycling existing units and any debris from the project.� ��The existing HVAC units include but are not limited to split units and roof top package units.� The existing systems will be evaluated when HVAC units are removed to reveal any damage or need to upgrade existing system.� All installation includes removal, disposal or recycling, inspection of existing system, repair work of damage to building due to removal and or installation of HVAC units, and when approved repair existing system.� Ensure building is water and rodent proof after work is completed.� Any repairs made to the building or surrounding area will need to match the existing surfaces (for example removing a section of stucco from an exterior wall when the project is completed the new stucco repair shall match the existing stucco�s color and texture where applicable).� The new HVAC units will use current California compliant refrigerant such as R410A. The new units shall be the specified units listed below or an approved equal.� Replace condensing units and furnace units/ air handlers at identified locations on the list.� In addition, replace thermostats (as needed), line sets (as needed), electrical disconnects (as needed).� Perform additional work for each system that is on the list.� Before new units are installed inspect the overall existing HVAC system.� For example, inspect supply ducts, return ducts, all registers, strapping and hardware, plenums, and all other items needed for each HVAC unit to operate.� Provide inspection findings of each existing system before replacing new units.� Provide repair solutions where applicable. �� Goals for this project are as follows: The ability to control building temperatures using updated thermostats to monitor and control building temperatures while keeping occupants comfortable during use. Cool and heat buildings using new and energy efficient units with seer values that are equal or greater than what is required by California state law.� Where applicable new units shall be standard manufactured HVAC equipment. Upgrading the mechanical, plumbing, ventilation, and electrical to code on each new unit installed as needed and applicable to the project. Price considerations- product value relative to the initial cost of each project. Environmental considerations- replace R-22 refrigerant units with current California compliant refrigerant units such as R-410A The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment to complete the contract.� The contractor is responsible for securing all permits, fees and requirements from state and local county offices. The contractor shall field verify all material measurements and quantities before ordering supplies. The Government will not reimburse the contractor for excess material ordered. �The contractor shall provide temporary traffic safety control in areas that have high traffic usage during the life expectancy of the project.
