Description
Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 5, is issuing this request for information/sources sought notice in order to identify entities in the Clarksburg, WV service area that have the resources and capabilities to provide and install over-the-door monitoring and alarm system for doors Clarksburg VA Medical Center. Description of Work Contractor to provide and install over-the-door monitoring and alarm system for doors in five (5) patient rooms in 4th floor, B-wing, Inpatient Mental Health unit in Building CA Main Hospital at Louis A. Johnson Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 1 Medical Center Dr, Clarksburg WV. Door alarm system is to utilize photoelectric beam detection to detect presence of potential ligature activity before pressure is applied to the door. This detection allows for more rapid response time in suicide prevention and emergency assistance. Contractor shall provide all material, labor and equipment to provide a fully functional system. The system shall provide protection from ligature at top and bottom of patient bedroom doors. Contractor shall assess the physical installation site, and make all modifications to existing finishes, doors, hallways, corridors, ceilings as necessary for a complete installation. After installation, system is to be certified and commissioned by manufacturer-certified inspector. This procurement is to include manufacturer-certified staff trainer to train Clarksburg VAMC staff in system installation. Technical Qualifications MANUFACTURER QUALIFICATIONS: Manufacturer shall have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the general automatic door market. Experience shall include manufacturing, sales, installation and service of all types of manual and automatic doors, door hardware and related systems. Manufacturer shall have a minimum of 5 years of experience, specializing in the healthcare facilities market. Experience shall include manufacturing, sales, installation and service of all types of manual and automatic doors, door hardware and related systems. Furthermore, experience shall specifically include at least 5 years working with federal healthcare facilities, as well as state and local facilities. INSPECTOR QUALIFICATIONS: Contractor is responsible for installation of system and functionality. Contracted services are additionally required for certification/commissioning and staff training. Inspector shall be experienced in performing work of this nature and shall have certification from over-the-door alarm manufacturer in staff training and system certification per manufacturer specifications. Interested & Capable Responses NCO 5 is seeking responses from entities that are interested in this procurement and consider themselves to have the resources, capabilities and qualifications necessary to provide these services. Please respond with your: 1. Capability statement and summary of previous experience providing sterilizer inspection & maintenance services for the Veterans Health Administration or other similar healthcare facilities. 3. GSA contract number, if your company has one, that includes line items covering these types of services in the Clarksburg, WV service area. 4. Ballpark cost estimate of what the Clarksburg VAMC could expect to pay your company to perform the work described above per year. Responses must be submitted by 16:00 (EST) June 12, 2020.
