THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT-140L0620Q0054 This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis (market survey). This IS NOT a request for proposal or a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make an appropriate acquisition decision and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Background The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a warehouse located at the Denver Federal Center in Denver Colorado. The warehouse is used for BLM�s Printed Materials Distribution Services (PMDS). The PMDS mission is to provide customers within the Department of the Interior Agencies, other government agencies, and the private sector with high quality printed materials. The BLM�s mission is accomplished through receiving and distribution services for all accountable property, equipment, and supplies ordered by BLM States and Offices, the Washington Office, Special National Projects and Initiatives. Scope The BLM has a requirement for updated safety measures in the warehouse to include pallet racking bumper pad installation and standardized racking installation. The requirement includes: Task 1: Removal, disposal, installation of new pallet racks. 16,500 Sq. Ft. of Pallet racking, 147 total sections of varying dimensions Task 2: Install exposed pallet racking bumper pads. All work will comply with OSHA Requirements: 1910.176(b) and 1910.159. All work will comply with OSHA Recommendations: the rack columns shall be anchored to the floor; load ratings shall be present on racking and a maintenance and inspection program for storage racks. This sources sought shall not be considered as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of the contractor submission of this sources sought or the Government's use of such information. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any contractor's input resulting from this request. No contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement. Data submitted in response to this request will not be returned. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 337215-Showcase, Partition, Shelving, and Locker Manufacturing (500 employees). INSTRUCTION FOR SOURCES SOUGHT SUBMISSION: After review of this requirement, interested parties may submit a response in an electronic format only via email to jchamberlin@blm.gov no later than 30 June 2020 at 1300 MT. Electronic files shall be in Microsoft Word� or Adobe Acrobat PDF� format. Respondents shall include the following as part of their submission: a. A synopsis of the company's capabilities to provide removal, disposal, installation of new pallet racks. Please include examples of previous work. b. DUNS Number c. Company Name d. Company Address e. Business size, SDVOSB, HUBZone, or Woman owned status, as validated via the System for Award Administration (SAM). All offers must register on the SAM located at https://www.sam.gov/SAM/ f.
