Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Acquisition and Grants Office, Eastern Acquisition Division office intends to award, on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 13.501(a) with L3Harris Technologies for a single Radar Processor (RP) as a replacement within the Multi-Mode Radar (MMR) system used on NOAA WP-3D aircraft for the NOAA Office of Marine and Aviation Operation (OMAO). � Description and Specification: Radar Processor for the Mutli-Mode Radar to be used with current software installed on NOAA WP-3D aircraft. Delivery shall be within eighteen (18) months after contract award. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the Government will consider all quotes and/or information received within 14 days after the date of publication of this synopsis.� A determination by the Government not to compete as a result of any quotes received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. DOC, NOAA require�that all contractors doing business with this office be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM).
