Description
This procurementwill befor the folllowing: ITEM: Fuel Distribution System NSN: 4930-01-614-3654 GOVERNMENT PART NUMBER: 9-1-1365 (CAGE 81337) QUANTITY: 20 each The Fuel Distribution System, NSN 4930-01-614-3654 are essential items that support the Force Provider reset and new production programs located at Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD) and operationally deployed systems utilized by individual military units. This requirement is for the procurement of the FDS manufactured by Parker-Velcon Co. The Fuel Distribution System (FDS) provides diesel or JP-8 fuel support to the Army's Premier Base Camp and Expeditionary Base Camp modules. The FDS is a portable, mobile system that operates in all expeditionary environments. The FDS is moved manually within the base camp. The FDS receives diesel or JP-8 fuel from a fuel source, filters fuel and pumps it to a destination (e.g.,diesel-operated generator, heater). The FDS interfaces are compatible with typical cam-locking fuel hose connectors. The FDS consists of a self-priming pump and motor, filter cartridge, flow meter, discharge hose, cargo container electrical grounding cables and valves that transfer the fuel in and out of the system. All components are housed on a FDS cart. The FDS cart has two tires for moving the FDS as needed. Force Provider module provides essential life support to 150 personnel. The Force Provider is a modular base camp system designed to provide; housing, food service, laundry, water, fuel storage, waste water collection, showers, latrines and utilities managed by Product Manager-Force Sustainment Systems (PM-FSS) located at the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center in Natick, Massachusetts implemented as a result of Desert Storm. The Force Provider modules are packaged in rigid TRICON containers as preconfigured loads and shouldensure interface within the other Force Provider systems to allow for part interchangeability.
