- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Department of Interior, Farmington District Office intends to award a sole source purchase order (PO) to Taos County Clerk, 105 Albright St. Ste. D., Taos, NM 87571-6170 under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c)(1) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 922120 - Police Protection. Taos County Clerk is determined to be the only source that can fill the need of this requirement. The purpose of this contract is to obtain law enforcement services as needed to assist the BLM in the administration and regulation of the use and occupancy of the public lands. The Taos County Sheriff�s Office will enforce the civil and criminal laws of the State and/or county on the public lands, waters, roads, and trails administered by the BLM with reimbursement by the BLM, in accordance with the actual costs associated with conducting these patrols, to include: current wages of law enforcement personnel, mileage, and other vehicle costs associated with vehicle patrols, if necessary. This action will result in a Firm Fixed Price PO with a period of performance that shall not exceed five (5) years. The Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. BLM has only one know source for this procurement that is in the Government best interest. Interested parties must express their interest and shall submit their capability statement and any other information considered pertinent to the Contracting Officer no later than June 19, 2020 1700 MT. Information received from interested parties will be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
