Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), PMA-265 at Patuxent River, MD intends to procure an update to the H14-007U Conformal Antenna System (CAS) International Look-Up Table Software for the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) Super Hornet aircraft program, a Foreign Military Sale (FMS).� NAVAIR intends to award a sole source contract to BAE Systems.� The contractor shall be required to modify the H14-007U Operational Flight Program software by incorporating a Conformal Antenna System (CAS) international Look-Up Table (LUT).� Additionally, the Contractor will perform regression testing and generate related documentation. This action is being awarded on a sole source basis to BAE in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, �Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� Award to another source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency�s requirements.� BAE Systems is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of these systems and the only known source with the integration capability and experience required to perform these efforts. This synopsis is for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive proposals. Responsible sources may submit a Statement of Capability and Qualifications to the Contract Specialist listed, demonstrating their ability to perform the Governments� requirements and shall provide proof of approved facility and personnel clearances necessary to meet the delivery schedule required within 15 days of the publication date of this announcement. The Government will utilize the capability statements received solely to confirm the sole source acquisition or to reconsider a competitive procurement.
