- ��������������������������� Quotes will only be accepted�via Sonia.johnson2@va.gov, during the timespan specified. The Louis Stokes VA Electrical Shop would like to request the replacement of the existing 30 KVA Uninterruptable Power System that supports the critical mission within Radiation Therapy. �This is considered a turn key repair and everything must be included to make this a fully operating system upon completion.� Contractor will include regularly scheduled maintenance required by the manufacturer as well as JCHACO for a period of not less than three (3) years.� Maintenance to be performed by certified and qualified technician.� Project will include the complete removal and disposal of the existing UPS and all associated equipment not required by the new replacement UPS System.� To include but not limited to:� Unused conduit and wiring, batteries and equipment components UPS specifications will meet the following minimum requirement: 1.� 208/120 volt AC 60 Hz Input/Output 2.���� Maintenance Bypass 3. 20 kVA / Kw Minimum capability��� 4. Expandable from 20-40 KVA/Kw capability to support growing electrical load demand 5. 15 Minute minimum battery runtime at 100% Load. 6. This work will take place after hours beginning after 7 p.m. on Saturday.� Installation and certification must be����� complete prior to 6 a.m. the following Monday morning. 7. Provide Stock of commonly used spare parts for installed equipment to be included and remain onsite at the VAMC. Warranty Period The vendor will warranty in full all labor and material for one year. Performance Monitoring. �Contractor is to notify the COR when they start in the morning and when they are finished at the end of the day. Contractor must keep the COR informed on his decisions pertaining to the job. If COR requests contractor to discontinue work for the day contractor must comply. COR will be notified immediately if there is a work stoppage. Smoking and consumption of Alcohol on VA property:� No smoking in any building on station.� Provide contractors with a copy of Medical Center Policy 138-060.� Mechanical rooms and contractor occupied areas are no exception.� Also, contractors are NOT allowed to bring alcohol on to government property.�� Those who violate this policy can face up to a $300 fine. Professional Behavior:� Please remind all staff and subcontractors that they are working in an active medical center environment, and professional behavior is expected at all times.� Since work is sometimes performed directly adjacent to active offices or patient care areas, please be cognizant of excessive noise and disruptions to those nearby (radios too loud, use of foul/inappropriate language, etc.)� Security Requirements All doors must remain closed and secure at all times. Propping doors open will not be tolerated.Contractor is also responsible for security badges of all contractor/subcontractor personnel. It is recommended the contractor come to the VA a couple weeks early before start date so they can be finger printed. The contractor can obtain there temporay flash badge at the PIV office at Louist Stokes VA Medical Center. Every worker must have a badge and form of identification when working on VA property, and is subject to VA security checks and enforcement actions while working on VA property. Other Pertinent Information or Special Considerations. Use of existing VA Canteen:� Contractors may use VA canteen for purchasing food so long as they have appropriate ID badge on and their clothes and footwear is free of excess dirt and debris. Lock Out/Tag Out Energy Control Program shall be observed by all contractor personnel.� Contractor is to submit a copy of their policy for approval.� Provide contractors with copy of Medical Center Lock Out/Tag Out Policy 138-031. If patients and staff are susceptible to ceiling debris a HEPA filter Dunz cart ,or Visqueen barriers are required. This includes areas such as hallways, patient rooms, break areas, etc.� The quote will include all labor, material, equipment,� freight charges, and testing to produce the end results described but not limited to the scope of work. Shut downs will be scheduled with the VA Electric Shop. Off hours can be coordinated with VA Electric Shop to meet schedules. A walk through will be available and is recommmended, date to be determined. The walk through will take place at the Atrium Reception Desk near the revolving doors at 10701 East 105th Street, Cleveland, Ohio� 44106.� Your guide will be someone from the Engineering Department and a Contracting Specialist.� Please no calls before or after the survey.
