Description
Pre Solicitation Announcement The National Park Service, Department of the Interior, anticipates issuing a solicitation for the following project. This is a pre-solicitation notice only and does not constitute a solicitation. A solicitation and a subsequent award may result from this announcement. Accordingly, no response is due at this time, nor will any questions of a technical or contractual nature be answered. Those questions will only be answered via an amendment to the solicitation. Specific instructions on submitting proposals will be contained in the solicitation documents, it is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about June 20, 2020. The entire solicitation package, including all attachments, will be available electronically at https://beta.sam.gov/ & https://www.fedconnect.net/ Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. The award, if solicited and subsequently funded, will be made on a lowest price, technically acceptable basis, to an experienced offeror whose bid is most advantageous to the government. PROJECT SCOPE: Extend Baker Beach Accessibility Ramp. This project consists of a constructed wooden boardwalk ramp will be extended to allow access to the beach by persons with mobility impairments (ADA) or similarly affected Park Visitors to transition from the boardwalk to the beach. This project requires the installation of pressure treated wooden boardwalk, constructed on wooden piles installed 8 ft. below the existing grade to prevent damage from degradation and scouring during severe storm surges. Place of Performance: Baker Beach Accessible Ramp, San Francisco, CA, 94966; Golden Gate National Recreation Area; San Francisco, California NAICS No. for this project is: 237310 This project is set aside for Total Small Business. Per FAR 52.228-13 (July 2000), Alternative Payment Protections are required. Per FAR 52.232-18 (Apr 1984), Availability of Funds; This is currently an unfunded requirement with a high expectation that funds will be available. When and if funds become available a contract will be awarded at that time ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: In accordance with FAR 36.204, the project magnitude is estimated to be between $100,000 & $250,000. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL MATERIAL, LABOR, EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, AND EXPERTISE NEEDED TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT IN ACCORDANCEWITH THE STATEMENT of WORK
